CARE & ADVICE

Your Hircus cashmere sweater is crafted from unique and natural textile fibers. It should be maintained with care and caution to preserve its softness and quality.
Did you know? Cashmere loves water! The more it is washed, the softer and more pleasant it becomes to touch. It is recommended to wash it regularly, every three to four wears, using cold water and our special cashmere detergent. Discover here our care tips!
Whether you wash your cashmere sweater by hand or in a washing machine, it will retain a significant amount of water because it should be lightly squeezed. The best way to dry it without distorting its shape is to lay it flat gently on a cotton towel, which will quickly absorb the water from your cashmere sweater. Within a few hours, your cashmere sweater should be dry. Find all our tips here for safely drying your cashmere sweater.
Your Hircus cashmere sweater is made from unique and natural textile fibers. Washing it regularly enhances its softness and pleasant touch, which is especially important when it's new. The initial washes allow the sweater to shed excess fibers used during its manufacturing process. If not washed regularly enough, you may notice some superficial pilling. After about ten washes, the excess fibers should be completely shed, and pilling should no longer be an issue. If you notice otherwise, it simply means it's time to wash your cashmere sweater again. Dry fibers can lead to pilling, so keeping your cashmere hydrated is key. If you notice localized pilling due to friction, such as from a bag, we recommend using our anti-pill comb, available here, to gently remove visible pills. It's easy to use simply comb over the affected area lightly to remove excess fibers without damaging the knit. Discover all our tips for maintaining a pill-free cashmere garment here.
Make sure to protect your cashmere sweater from external aggressions. The plastic packaging in which it is delivered is reusable and helps protect it from moths and dust. Do not discard it! Did you know? Cedar is a natural solution to repel moths. Check out our cedar balls here, which can be placed in your wardrobe to help protect your garments.
